THE MAGIC BEGINS » 10. saddest scene / the prince’s tale.
”I have spied for you and lied for you, put myself in mortal danger for you. Everything was supposed to be to keep Lily Potter’s son safe. Now you tell me you have been raising him like a pig for slaughter – “
”But this is touching, Severus,” said Dumbledore seriously. “Have you grown to care for the boy, after all?”
”For him?” shouted Snape. “Expecto Patronum!”
From the tip of his wand burst the silver doe. She landed on the office floor, bounded once across the office, and soared out of the window. Dumbledore watched her fly away, and as her silvery glow faded he turned back to Snape, and his eyes were full of tears.
”After all this time?”
”Always.” said Snape.
“I should never reveal the best of you, Severus.” (Part III)
Sorry this took so long to respond to (and that it’s the farthest thing from eloquent).
“I knew from the beginning what Snape was. Do I think he’s a hero? To a point, I do, but he’s not an unequivocally good character. Snape is a complicated man. He’s bitter. He’s … spiteful. He’s a bully. All these things are still true of Snape, even at the end of this book. But was he brave? Yes, immensely. Was he capable of love? Very definitely. So he’s— he’s a very— he was a flawed human being, like all of us.”

So… watching Ginger Snaps gave me Harry Potter AU ideas: Lily is a muggle and Snape isn’t allowed to go to Hogwarts. They’re still friends and come secondary school Lily gets bitten by a werewolf. She changes drastically and Severus must figure out what to do with his wild friend.
I am thinking of writing this as a fic, but if I don’t, you can probably expect to see more doodles from this AU.
→ 27/30 A really emotional scene/moment: Snape knows that he is going to die
